Nothing is worse than working in an office that’s colder inside than outside. I came to work this morning and had to keep my furry lined leather coat on while working. That was at 9:00 a.m. and it is going on noon and I still have to keep my coat on.

I have been using self tanning products for a long time and it takes a lot of practice to get it right. I know all about the hands and feet looking like you just stepped in dog doo;you forgot to mention around the underarms where it looks like you haven't washed in months, so you see I know all about it. I have found that the moisturizer with the tanning lotion in it works the best. It takes longer to get a tan but it looks more natural. I will continue to use the self tanners because I have pretty much mastered it now. By the way, forget using the sprays at the tanning booth. They work somewhat like a car wash does but that's another story. September is just around the corner and I will be going back to my natural color.

Yep!!! I almost hit a guy this morning on my way to work. He was in the street with the weedwacker trimming the edge and I could not get in the other lane.

To make matters worse, once you are in that "other" room the nurse asks you to put on this little gown which is similar to having a paper towel draped over you and tells you that the doctor will be right with you. The temperature of the room is somewhere around 55 degrees and you can hear the doctor talking to the other patients through the wall. Needless to say by the time the doctor finally comes in you are much sicker than you were 30 minutes ago.

I find smoking very offensive ashtray or no ashtray, although having an ashtray nearby is an excellent idea. Last week I was sitting beside a swimming pool just enjoying the day when I smelled cigarette smoke. I looked around and sure enough there was a lady smoking a cigarette and she was all the way on the opposite side of the pool. I get border line migranes when I smell smoke so needless to say I left the pool shortly after that. Also, I was on the boardwalk one afternoon once again enjoying the day and smelling the fresh salt air when suddenly I smelled cigar smoke, yes it was some guy right in front of me. Smoking reallly needs to be banned from public places altogether.

Yeah, but I noticed it while driving down a country road. It was really quite blinding. Fortunately I knew the road pretty good and was able to deal with it.

Let me take a moment and share something with you. Sometimes you just don't know what a person is going through. Recently I lost a good friend of mine to lung cancer. I might of been one of those people who gave you a poor attempt of a smile, but at least it was an attempt. I will share with you the sweetest smile that I have ever received in my life and it came from that friend of mine dying from cancer. Through her pain and I do mean pain she managed to give me a smile. I will never forget it.

I have had my car both dented and keyed. The last time my car was dented it was by a neighbor of mine that actually left me a note saying that he would pay for the damages in which he did. I got several estimates that were very expensive. I then called a place called Dent Doctor. They gave me a free estimate in which I was very pleased with. It was $100.00 compared to the $300 and $400 estimates I had been given. They did an excellent job, the only thing was that I had to use my own touch up paint. You can buy that at the auto store. They can match it up with the serial number on your car. Dent Doctor saves you a lot of money and time. The sad thing is that following Saturday I was visiting a friend of mine who lives out in the country and her son accidently backed into my car totaling the entire door of my car . The cost to repair the door was over $3,000. His insurance covered it.

I am also guilty as charged. I think I will buy myself some jumper cables over the weekend along with a flashlight and first aid kit to keep in my car. I was also told by a reliable person that I work with that there is a device called a "jumpbox" that you can purchase at any auto store for a couple hundred bucks to jumpstart your car with instead of using the jumper cables. Anyway, we all need to be safe out there. I am also a member of Triple A and that really comes in handy when your battery goes dead or you lock your keys inside the car, etc. Have a safe 4th of July everyone!

I know what it's like to be on both ends of the spectrum. I was a telemarketer for over 6 years and it was one of the worst jobs I've ever had! We had to follow a script word for word or we would loose our job. Try and keep that in consideration when they call. Personally I just say I'm not interested and hang up. Do you have an answering machine or caller id? I know what you mean though when they refer to you by your first name and act like they're your friend, that's really irritating. Good Luck!

I couldn't agree with you more. My whole family is in an uproar about this, including my 12 year old granddaughter.

I am an avid walker myself and have been for years but am unable to walk in the early morning hours because I have to go to work. I bought myself a treadmill a few years ago which has worked out great because I can use it at any hour of the day or night I choose too.

I hear ya brother! Another product not to buy is Clairol Natural Instincts haircolor. It is anything but natural and my hair which was below my shoulders broke off and I had to end up cutting it.
