My Biggest Complaint About “ASAP” On Support Forum Message Boards

“I have no idea how to [insert something here you could learn to do but are too lazy to google or research/learn otherwise]. I really need to know how to do this ASAP. Can someone please help? I would really appreciate it.”

I bet you damn well would appreciate it. I bet you liked it when people told you answers on test in school, too.

“ASAP”… does anybody ever put down their coffee, grab a keyboard and come to the rescue just because you asked for something to be done “ASAP”? The internet will live on forever and your post might make it that long too if the server is maintained. “ASAP”? It could take days before somebody even sees your cry for help. One of the ideas behind a forum is to post messages so people can check them at their leisure. Not “ASAP”.
