My Biggest Complaint About Apple MacBook Pro

I bought a mac book pro in early December 2007 and 3 months after I purchased it the lid release button started to exfoliate, i talked to my reseller, sent him photos only to get no answer and after another month or so i called them again and they told me that they talked to the Apple people here in Romania and they don’t know why the button has exfoliated and if i want to repair it the whole bottom side needs to be replaced, but i have to pay for it, now the button looks even worse is gray with silver areas on the sides.

Another annoyng annoying thing is a line that appers on the screen, a vertical line on the right side from the clock are to the bottom of the screen, i called then they told me to take pictures, the line shows up from time to time and i heve to move the screen a bit and it usually dissapears, it hasn’t showed up in some time but i’m going to have the screen replaced this sumer, right now i need it to study.Hope i can meke them change my case, i also have a little dent on the front right side i was stupid enough to tel it slip of a chair while i was using that as a desk so if they do change the bottom case for the lid button i will get rid of the small dent, and another thing is i again stupidly removed one of the botom case support stand, the little plastic things which leave a empty space between the case and the desk, i guess i can glue it back, but i think it can be replaced, if i can find it on ebay.

  1. I also have this line on my iMAC G5. The line only appears during use of Safari. It just appeared.Movement of the screen does not resolve problem. Any one know how to extinguish this pest?

  2. It’s funny how people destroy things (dropped, removed pieces) then nag the company for a replacement like they are suppossed to be responsible for your carelessness. It clearly states in your instructions not to drop or damage your computer as it may affect the way it performs. Is that not clear?

  3. Yeah like a 2000$ laptop shouldn’t deal with a drop from about one metre or less….
I mean you pay more so you want more….

It’s such a behaviour, which makes companies loose customers.

It’s called SERVICE, something Apple can’t be proud of, for example only 1 year warranty etc….
