This might work better as an audio complaint, or maybe I should just post example phone numbers so you can call and hear what I’m talking about.
I can’t take the homemade answering machine / voicemail messages that start with 25 seconds of a worthless song, fade into “leave a message” and then fade back out with another 25 seconds of the worthless song.
This is a pitiful waste of your allotted one minute of answering machine or voicemail message space.
This is completely inconsiderate. You are wasting my time and frankly, you look like an idiot.
If professionals call you with important information, oh let’s say your doctor or lawyer, your sweet message now tells them you are just plain stupid and you have nothing better to do with your time than sit around and make love song DJ messages for your answering machine.

Well, just in case you don’t know: Most VM services allow you to skip right to the beep by pressing 1 or whatever that particular company has deemed the ’skip’ button. Try it out.

I don’t even have voicemail on my phone. I feel if they need to reach someone so desperately, they can call 911.
