My biggest complaint about Alberto Gonzales being named lawyer of the year is that it is tantamount to Michael Vick being name “PETA’s Person of the Year.” The AP reports that the reason the ABA chose Gonzales is because he made the most news. Easily, by the same standard, you could say that Vick did the most for dog fighting, because he brought it into the limelight - meaning he made the most news. Does anybody think PETA is going to honor him by naming him their person of the year? Has the American Bar Association gone insane?
