Al Franken is running for Senate in MN and has suddenly become “painfully aware of the role money plays in politics”.
“No ****, Sherlock” comes to mind, doesn’t it?
Al thinks it might be a good idea for the public to fund elections. Sure Al, why not? Throw “public funding of elections” right behind “universal health care” and whatever other topic politicians can come up with to waste more money that we don’t have.
You will never get anywhere with stuff like this, Al. Don’t you get it? We don’t want to give the government anymore of our money, and we certainly don’t want to give the government more of our money to help politicians directly.
