What a sick waste of money? How much better would the world be if we spent that money on poverty, education, health care, and freeing ourselves from foreign oil? Iraq is a mess and it gets exponentially worse every month. American bodies are being flown home everyday, Iran is getting more powerful, our Army is so depleted that we can’t even do anything about real threats elsewhere. Even the hard-core bush drones can’t justify it what the Bush-Cheney war machine has left us with.

Waste of Money? Waste of Money? What I fail to see how you beleive this is a waste of money? The first terror attacks on the world trade center created $300 million in damage. Now lets ask how much did the attacks on september 11th cost america and the american people. How many billion was the buildings worth? Well ive heard somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 billion. MTA has identified about 2 billion in added operating costs as a result in september 11th. How many billion was the airline bailout from sept 11th? how many billions of dollars have been lost for taxi drivers how many billions are lost in revenues for shutting down manhattan, how many billions are lost in the cleanup efforts how many millons have we spent to monitor air quality as a result of the buildings coming down? Oh yeah and how about the stock market crash as a result of this act of war against the USA. How long with these costs continue to plauque the USA?
As far as the human costs of the war. What about all those who lost their lives in the twin towers attack? First I want to thank all of those soldiers who have sacraficed for you and I. But this is a very needed cost to war.
Why is our army depleated? Because of people like you who think the money is a problem. Because of people like you who have issue with underwear on the heads of the enemy (yeah so cruel). Becuse of those of you who think are forces are using cruel means to get information to protect ourselves. When you have rules of war and then you have an enemy who does not play by those rules and you have to who has the advantage. Rules to war is the dumbest thing I have ever heard or. So lets challenge the terroists to a game of world or warcraft and settle it that way? Do you think that would be adequate.
reminds me of the statement I have heard before Id rather be red than dead! means you would rather not fight the russians but just let them take over freely. That is the same attitude as people like you have with the muslim extremists. You would rather be muslim than spend a few bucks fighting. This is one of the least costly wars in history as far as money and fatalities.
Where do you get off sabatoging our country like this and sabatoging our troups and killing our forces moral.

Ok so tell me what does not follow from the original post? The poster is clearly stating the wars we are no engaged in are a wast of money. My contention is that the wars we are now engaged in is saving our money, is svaing our lives.
The poster also clearly speeks about how the war is going in Iraq, I too speek of how and more why the war in Iraq is going as it is!
So Again I may be a bit slow here help me out and tell me what exactly it is that does not follow from the original post?
Or is it that you just have a different opinion than I and that really pisses you off?

What are we accomplishing being in Iraq? NOTHING!! The rest of the world is laughing at us. Tony Blair stepped down in disgrace. There was more money made as a result of 9/11 than the actual cost of the damage. Now with $4.00/gallon gas, crumbling economy, falling housing market, etc we’ve only begun to see the effects of this wasteful war.
I fully support our troops, it’s the decision makers here at home that I don’t trust or support. George Bush Jr will go down in history as the WORST prez in history.

$4.00 gasoline (what the hell is washington doing) couldnt agree more here. Hey have you ever thought about this. The terrorist nations control a large amount of the worlds oil. The terrorist nations attacked us and want the failure of the USA. could it just possibly be that they are jacking the price of oil just to take us down from the inside out? Hmm maybe the war should be for oil.
As far as the falling housing market well that is a cycle about every 7 years there is a good time to buy and a good time to sell. This isn’t to say that the banks behavoirs in the past few years and their total irresponsible wreckless lending practices have not played a part to artificially force housing costs up!
As for the crubling economy wake up we had a increase of 1% last quarter where is the failing economy. The facts just are not there to support anything being wrong with economy?

Someone needed a reason to go to the middle east and stir up some trouble and perhaps get their hands on some oil, maybe? Like some American oil people who have a great intere$t in oil? If the ring leader of these attacks was Bin Laden then why aren’t we persuing him? We ran right over there and hung Hussain (not that he didn’t deserve it) but what happened to the search for Bin Laden and the rest of the Taliban?
